For Eddie’s birthday, he wanted a Power Rangers cake, so this is what I was able
to do with little time. Of course, this was for his actual birthday, so it
didn’t get eaten by friends because we had to reschedule his party, but he loved
it once he could eat it!
The night before Eddie’s birthday, he asked me again if he could have a bike for
his birthday. We knew he wanted a bigger bike, so we already had purchased one
for him. In his words, we are “The best parents EVER!” I loved how happy he was.
We gave it to him on his birthday, even though he was sick. We let him ride
around the block a few times as well to test it out, but then he ended up
sleeping the afternoon away because it took so much out of him!
We FINALLY had a party for him a week later when everyone was well. He wanted
games with prizes at his party, so that’s what we did. We have the best stairs
for a bean bag toss and Kyle did a great job on it.
We also had a balloon popping contest. Kyle also invented the balloon pieces
picking up game after they were done. We weighed how many balloon pieces each
kid had and the winner got a prize based on the weight. It was wonderful because
they picked up any garbage they could find to try and win!
Because we had cake the week before when Eddie was sick, he just wanted ice
cream with toppings this time. He has a couple friends who were disappointed
that there wasn’t cake because they don’t really like ice cream, but over all,
it was a big hit. Eddie wanted chocolate ice cream and I had it scooped into
balls ahead of time, so we just gave them each a few balls and they went to town
on the toppings. Eddie also asked for Italian cream sodas. I don’t have a
picture, but the kids loved being able to choose their flavor and have whipped
cream in their drink.
I can’t believe my little boy is six years old now and as he keeps reminding
me, only two years until he gets to be baptized now!

Eddie...Oh my Eddie boy! How I love you! I can't believe you are 6 years old either. Don't grow up too fast! Love always, Nana
Happy birthday, Eddie! Great cake and good thinking on the bike! Maybe when you come this summer he can convince Tony to get on a bike.
