My Problem

I'm just thinking about this. It isn't the worst thing in the world, or the biggest problem that I have, but it is a problem for me. For Christmas Kyle got me a Barnes and Noble Nookbook. He thought that with as much as I love to read, I may enjoy it. Well, he was absolutely right unfortunately. Do you know how easy it is to check out a book for the Nook or buy a new book that you want? WAY too easy! It also means that I can always get a new book whenever I want it. Don't get me wrong, I know there isn't anything wrong with reading, but when your house goes downhill because of it, that is a HUGE problem. My house could be falling down around me and I wouldn't know because I'm too into my book to look up or notice. Like I said, it's not a serious problem, other than that it is almost dinner time and I haven't decided what I'm making for dinner because I was reading, but how cool is it that I can even set my Nook down and not have to bookmark it because it's electronic and will do it for me, so I'm right back at it within seconds! Cool huh? It's not a big problem for others, but for me, I love to read. What's a problem that you have because you love it so much? I'm interested to know!

Let's see...my problem...
is that huge book shelf in the other room with lots of books I haven't read yet!
(I guess the apple doesn't fall from the tree!)

Just think of what you are teaching your children by letting them see you reading. It's a good thing, I promise!

Sometimes, I'll tell myself that if I clean for 15 min or get dinner started or whatever then I can read for 15 min. You could try something like that.

So. What books are taking your attention? Are you on Goodreads?

Mom, you may have to ground me! But I started an audio book which is really nice since I can clean while I listen. It's C.S. Lewis' "Mere Christianity". I am so hooked on it right now that I'm really glad it's an audio book!

Amanda, I like that idea about working for 15 min then reading for 15 min. I'm going to use that! I am working on "My life in France" right now, but I just finished "Princess Academy" from the list of previous book group books and I REALLY liked that one. Too many good books to put down!

Even though is sounds like a problem I still REALLY want a nook. I think it is such a good idea. mmmm maybe for mothers day?

I confess that my Kindle is also perhaps a bit of a problem... I find that I read rather than sleep which turns me into a less patient Mom. I'm really enjoying Jill Marie Landis books at the moment. :-)

Oh Naomi - it's not good to suggest new books. That's more for me to read and ignore my family with!! Thanks though, I will definitely look up that author!
